MORE OMEGA 3 AND LESS OMEGA 6 TO ACHIEVE BALANCE
Research published in the journal Prostaglandins Leukotrienes and Essenial Fatty Acids has shown that we can not only take omega 3 supplementation. We must also decrease the intake of omega 6 fats.
The evaluation was carried out in individuals with migraine that for 12 weeks decreased the intake of omega 6 fats, had their normal diet or ingested less omega 6 and more omega 3.
At the stage when they simply decreased their intake of omega 6, there was an increase in omega 3 fatty acids in the blood. When in addition to the increase in omega 3 intake, the increase was even greater.
So, just reducing the intake of omega 6 fats is already beneficial, but omega 3 supplementation further enhances the benefits.
Reducing omega 6 fatty acids is not difficult, just cut in vegetable oils (sunflower, corn, soy, ...) and do not consume industrialized products with oils (ready-to-use meals, cakes, cookies, ...)
